Episode 10: The Final Struggle

Amy was at last in the operating room. She was ready after 3 long, grueling episodes (hehehe) of waiting to try her hand at it. If ya know what I'm talking about. I was nervously pacing back and forth and to and fro and everywhere in between. Suddenly, a nurse came out.

Me: Is she ok?

Nurse: Go see for yourself.....

(I went into the OR. There, peaceful as ever, was Amy. I shook her softly. No answer. I started to cry, when all of a sudden, Amy's eyes began to open.)

Amy: (sleepily) Nick? Is that you?

Me: Amy!!!

(I threw my arms around her and hugged her as best I could. She smiled and held me close.)

Amy: It's ok, Nick. I made it through.

(On the way home.........)

Me: I knew you could pull through, Amy..........

(She blushed a bit.)

Amy: aw..........shucks........
