Sol Power, Make-Up! : With no transformation wand, Apolla
can just call on the invocation to transform into her alter ego.
Neo-Human powers: Apolla is a Neo-Human, a person born
with superhuman powers. Her particular powers are super strength,
flight, and super senses. Of course, she can use these in both
forms. These powers are not linked to her senshi powers.
Inferno Vision: Sol can project twin beams of solar power
from her eyes, causing considerable damage.
"Flare Fist Technique": With the power of the
Sun Empress inside her, Sol can summon a deadly attack called
the "Flare Fist". Saying a secret incantation, she holds
her fist up, where golden energy flares around it, making the
Japanese sign of "power". She thrusts it forward, and
a large beam of solar energy is shot forward. This attack is second
to only Sirius's Fusion Eraser in terms of finishing the enemy.
Apolla was born on Earth, in a secret Neo-Human habitat called Castaway. She was born to her Neo-human father, and her human mother, who was an explorer prior to meeting her father. Born with superpowers, Apolla was raised on the belief that the more careful you are with your powers, the better you are able to mesh in society. When she reached 13, her father told her the history of the Neo-Human race.
When Queen Serenity first awoken the Earth from "The Deep Freeze", a power wave was sent out across the cosmos. When the wave reached the end of existence (a century later), it bounced back. The wave returned to Earth, irradiating crystal hearts in a few thousand humans scattered across Earth. With the irradiated hearts came superhuman powers and abilities, developed by the irradiated humans. However, even in the 31st Century, people still had the fear of the unknown. So, to keep from having the humans to attack, the "Neo-Humans" disappeared underground, where they built the city known as Castaway.
After learning the history, Apolla decided to run away to Crystal Tokyo, hoping to find a way to change her life. Instead, she found love, in the form of Crystal Tokyo Shard reporter, Andrew Natsurda. A few months later, Apolla found herself pregnant. Frightened with the fact of returning to her home, she decided to live with Andrew, who had proposed to her.
But that wasn't the end of her story. After using her powers to save an out-of-control trolley from crashing, Apolla was visited by the spirit of the Sun Empress. In the Silver Millennium, the Empress was once ruler of the Sol Empire, a hidden kingdom that parallels the Moon Kingdom, directly on the opposing side of the Sun. Impressed by her bravery, the Empress chose Apolla as her champion. Endowing her with senshi powers and abilities, the Empress transformed Apolla into Sailor Sol.
Hearing urban legends about the Squadron, Apolla was discovered
by Sailor Nova, when she assisted the fire senshi in her first
skirmish with her sworn enemy, Triton. Serving in the Squadron
faithfully, Apolla was later "benched" because of her
second pregnancy. She now only serves only in an emergency
