A child was born on a cold snowy day, the largest storm ever recorded on Yakumna. Her mother died shortly after childbirth, and gave the child the name Ren. Ren was abandoned on the top of Mount Nagamayu when she was three years old. It was snowy and icy cold, and she began to cry. A dark figure approached the child, taking her in its arms and bringing her to its home at the center of the mountain. Ren’s red eyes were half closed and sleepy when she was set down on a small mattress next to a warm fire, and she soon fell asleep. When she woke up the figure introduced itself as Nova, keeper of the lost. Over the next ten years, Ren was trained in the ways of darkness, eventually changing her name to Angra Mainyu. One day she awoke and knew her destiny. She took a large, bladed staff, and took a crystal from Nova, which killed it. She smiled at that and shouted out the phrase her teacher taught her never to use. She was transformed into Sailor Nova. She flew up into Yakumna’s atmosphere and summoned the energy from the planet’s center. Gathering it into a sphere at the end or her staff, she fired it back onto the planet, obliterating it. Yakumna, and all it’s people, was gone. Angra continued this path of destruction, murdering the planet’s Sailor Scouts, and taking their crystals, growing stronger all the while. Then she came to Helios, but its scout, and her daughter were long gone, fleeing to Earth. She met them on its moon and killed the scout, but did not gain the crystal. It turns out that the scout’s daughter had taken it and fled to Earth. Ever since then, she has lived on Earth, assuming a human disguise, and searching for Sailor Helios.
